Remote/Online Learning

Today, digital/online forms of learning are a must and therefore Nexus Alliance’s Learning Management System (N-LMS), a robust and secure online IT Learning Solution with capabilities for both onsite and offsite learning is deployed as needed.

The system allows live teaching interaction though webinars and video instructions, tracks candidates’ participation in coursework and assignments and can be used securely for training assessments. We have successfully deployed this system in several organisations.

Production Operator Training Services

TOTAL, in the frame work of its desire to rapidly increase production tagged ‘CHALLENGE 2007’ committed to train additional operators to staff both existing and development projects.

In this respect, Total recruited Nigerian Nationals mainly drawn from SITP/2 training managed by NEXUS in order to develop an ‘’on the job training’’ for Production Operator Trainees.

Highlights

  • Nexus Alliance was awarded this contract to train Forty (40) Production operator trainees
  • Nexus Alliance’s training team was required to prepare and implement an assessment of the trainee’s population in order to:

i.Verify the education and technical background of the POT’s

ii.Identify and analyze the training needs

iii.Adapt the OJT Content accordingly.

DPR Management Trainee Foundation Training Program (MTFP)

  • 500 Graduate Technicians and non-Technicians
  • Design, Organization & Management of Training program
  • Implementation of training program & evaluation of Trainees

Highlights

  • Approximately 500 newly recruited graduate Engineers and non-Engineers were trained.
  • Nexus utilized instructors and consultants (Nigerians & Expatriates) with several years of hands-on project and operations experience in on-shore and offshore facilities, design and operations.

Chevron Nigeria Limited

Project duration: February – March 2019

Contract Value Leakage – IACCM Certification

Nexus Alliance was contracted by Chevron Nigeria to train over 70 employees in its Supply Chain Management value chain in managing contracts effectively with suppliers.

The training was carried out to the International Association of Contracts & Commercial Management (IACCM) standards.

Highlights

  • The program is specifically designed for professionals who interact with the contracting process. The program focuses on delivering contemporary best practices information, methods and toolsets to reduce value leakage across the entirety of the contract life cycle.
  • Developing Relationship management skills with suppliers in order to manage costs and risk to contract execution.

Aveon Offshore Limited

Nigerian Content Development (NCD) Skills Training Programme

Nexus Alliance is one of the few learning and development companies qualified to provide the requisite NCD mandatory training programme on all Oil & Gas projects.

Nexus was contracted by Aveon Offshore to deliver this training program as part of its NCD contribution on the Olero Creek Restoration (OCR) project.

Highlights

  • This 4-week, fully residential training program involved 14 trainees nominated by Aveon Offshore as part of its local content development program.
  • The Training curriculum covered Project management, Managing Me, Health Safety & Environment, Team working skills and Entrepreneurship.

Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC)

  • Graduate Development Programme
  • Partnership with Robert Gordon University
  • 12-month full residential Programme
  • Involved up to 1,000 engineers in SPDC

Shell Intensive Training Programme / 2 (Technicians)

  • Involved more than 1,000 technicians in SPDC
  • Train-the-Trainer Programme

Highlights

  • Nexus provided the Project Design Study and prepared for the training including the selection of trainees, Instructors and location.
  • Nexus procured all the teaching and didactic aids.
  • Nexus implemented the training program, evaluated the trainees, and procured all the training Materials for both Graduates (SITP 1) and for technicians (SITP 2).
  • Nexus was also responsible for the general Organisation and Management of the SITP Project.

NETCO

Learning & Competency Development

Project duration: September 2020 – August 2021

NCDMB – HCD Training for Engineers

As a fully registered OGTAN certified training institution, Nexus Alliance is one of the learning and development companies qualified to provide the requisite NCD mandatory training programme on all Oil & Gas projects.

Nexus was contracted by NETCO to support the NC plan for the Front-End Engineering Design of the Samabri-Biseni Development Project.

Highlights

  • This HCD program will involve classroom and on-the-job training for a duration of about 12 months, involved 6 trainees nominated by NCDMB as part of its local content development program.
  • The Training curriculum covered both Technical – PDMS, HYSIS, AUTOCAD, Primavera, ETAP- and Soft Skills – Technical Report writing, Communication, Time Management and Entrepreneurship.

NLNG Leadership Development Program

Nexus developed a program for onsite presentation of this course and provided all management, resources, administration and support for the program.

Electrical Safety Training (ARC NFPA 70E Flash Training)

Nexus Alliance was contracted by Chevron Nigeria to train thirty of its operations and maintenance employees in electrical safety.

The training included elements from the Chevron Corporate Electrical standards.

Highlights

  • Nexus, as a fully registered member of Oil & Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN), was qualified and invited by Chevron to implement this requisite Nigerian Content Development (NCD) mandatory training.
  • About 30 trainees participated in the program which centered around NFPA 70E/Arc Flash Electrical Safety.

End-User Training on the SAP IPES Project

Nexus was selected as  the Nigerian Implementation partner in a highly competitive technical and commercial bidding processes.

We provided quality end-user and power-user training, go-live processes and support.

Highlights

  • Provision of training in the various SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, and PM) to identified users.
  • Development and/or review of training materials and exercises
  • Identification and building up of Power Users.

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)Training

Nexus Alliance Limited as a learning center for The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals Certifying Organization (SMRPCO), serves to promote and advance the knowledge and application of Maintenance; sustainable techniques for Reliability and Physical Asset Management.

Nexus facilitates this certification exercise by providing course materials, on-site academic assistance (NAL Registered Proctors), and Suitable learning environment. The program outlines a rigorous schedule based on detailed training on Failure modes and Effects Analysis which includes:

Test of knowledge of Maintenance Practices, Preventive and Predictive maintenance, Troubleshooting and analysis and Corrective maintenance
Developing an effective Change Management plan
