Akin Idowu Engineering degree from the University of Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University) Nigeria and an MBA in Finance and Accounting. He is SAP R/3 FI (v 4.0) Certified. Trained as an Engineer, he worked for 4 years at the Delta Steel Complex Aladja before travelling to the UK to pursue a career in Finance and Accounting.

Akin is a management consultant with over 25 years experience in Business Systems Implementation; Change Management; Technical Training and Manpower Development primarily in manufacturing and Oil and Gas Industries. He is certified in SAP R/3 (FICO) and has implemented 4 Full Life Cycles as well as a number of other SAP pre-sales and optimization projects. His past experience in very senior positions in finance and accounting functions gives him a unique insight into business process analysis and design. His additional skills include but are not limited to project management, training, team leading and change management.

Akin currently serves as the Executive Director, Strategic Services & Finance with the primary responsibility developing the business service offerings across  Learning and Competency Development, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Engineering Support. His role as the Finance Director, has him overseeing the company finances, assuring the fiscal growth and improving the revenue base of the company.

As Chief Operations Officer of Nexus Alliance, he is also tasked with ensuring the day to day operations across all the business subsidiaries run seamlessly.

His interests are travelling and reading historical literature.
